DIY LESO CROP TOP

Posted on April 9, 2017March 4, 2020 by Didi

Hey hey hey!!! Are you pumped up for the rainy season? I am because I’m a sucker for flowers and you know what they say, ‘no rain, no flowers’ . For this post, I will be showing you how to improvise a ‘leso’ into a crop top that will literally give you life.

Prints do have a way of speaking in any outfit so I wanted to touch on the African beauty aspects and what better way than using the traditional ‘leso’ that happens to be a traditional form of gift according to my tribe’s cultures (Giriama)

I simply folded the ‘leso’ around my torso and tied it at the back tightly enough not to let my lady racks out in the open. I especially loved the colourful scheme and pattern that went well with my headscarf . (also hi there https://www.instagram.com/sheilandinda/ )

I paired the ‘ leso’ crop top with my mom jeans and had them cuffed for a more vintage and school girl feel. I opted for these buckled vinatge flats that I absolutely love and the bun was just an added accessory.

For the first time in forever, I actually added some colour to my lips and the red complimented the headscarf and leso well. Stay on the look out for a tutorial on my Fav ways to style a headscarf on my YouTube channel.

I hope you enjoyed this post, do stay tuned for more, but most importantly, stay safe!
